Avoid Account Suspension

Because we are understaffed, we've built FreedomComs with a simple "3 strikes you're out" system.

If three other members complain that you have broken the rules, your account will be automatically suspended. There is an appeal process but due to understaffing it may take some time to receive a response.

3 Simple Rules

We ask all community members to follow the three simple rules below.

Following these rules will ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.

Community rules apply equally to members and Community Coordinators.

Our Community Rules

1. You May Not Incite Violence

Under no circumstances ever suggest or even allude to violence against any party, be it a person or organization. We are committed to non-violent resistance through passive non-compliance with violations of our rights.

2. You May Not Fund Raise or Promote a Business

FreedomComs is a community-building website. Requesting money, or promoting your business is strictly forbidden. What you do at in-person meetups is up to you and the organizer(s) of such events, but asking for money on FreedomComs.org is not allowed.

3. Be Polite and Respectful

Even here, you may encounter those whose opinions differ from yours. We conservatives often complain that leftists will not engage in respectful debate. Don't be a leftist. Respect other community members and their opinions. Do not register a complaint just because somebody said something you didn't like.

How to Register a Complaint

Has another member broken the rules? This is how you can register a complaint.

But first...ask yourself, did they break the rules or did they just say or do something that upset me? Please don't file a complaint unless another member has broken the rules. Also keep in mind that filing excessive complaints may result in account suspension.

If they broke a community rule and you feel you should file a complaint, please do the following:

  1. Go to the map (Connect with other Members page). Click on the member you wish to file a complaint about.
  2. In the info popup, click on "View Profile"
  3. At the top of the page, click the 'Report User' button.
  4. Select one of the three reasons for the complaint.
  5. Click the 'Submit' button

(Note that if the user is suspended we may get back to you and ask for details however your complaint will remain anonymous.)
